| Sustained Silent Reading |
|
Research has shown that reading ability is positively correlated with the extent to which students read recreationally," according to the "Reading and Writing Habits of Students" section of The Condition of Education 1997, published by the National Center for Education Statistics. Sustained silent reading (SSR) is a group reading activity where learners have a period of uninterrupted silent reading. All Pacific Technology School students, teachers and administrators read for 15 minutes in homeroom period everyday. |
